NBA Best Bets: Top Hornets vs. Celtics prop bets for Wednesday 3/4/26

On Wednesday, an intriguing Eastern Conference matchup brings a red-hot Charlotte Hornets team into Boston to take on the currently second-seeded Celtics. With the visitors surging on a five-game winning streak with a 19-9 record since 2026 began, there’s a lot going right for this young roster as it vies for a postseason spot. However, the C’s are one of the best teams in not only the conference, but the league as a whole. This one won’t be easy for either side.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Boston is a 6.5-point favorite at home with -250 odds to win on the Moneyline. The game total is set at just 215.5 combined points.

Here are the top Hornets vs. Celtics prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for this matchup.

Best Hornets vs. Celtics player prop bets

Brandon Miller over 3.5 3PM (+127)

The Hornets don’t have a true stud scorer above the 25 PPG mark, but Brandon Miller has worked out quite well in what’s been a much-needed healthy season for the most part. The third-year wing leads the roster with 20.9 PPG, shooting 42.9% from the field and 37.7% from three. The FG% may not spark the most awe, but he’s looked particularly effective as of late. Over Charlotte’s current five-game winning streak, he’s averaging 24.2 PPG on a FG% of 55.1% as well as a staggering 54.4% 3P%. That three-point shooting is exactly what we’d like to target here.

Miller is averaging 4.8 made threes over this stretch on 8.8 attempts per contest, going over tonight’s line of 3.5 makes in four of those five outings. The one exception came in his most recent appearance, in which he was limited to just 21 minutes of action. If we go back a little bit further, we get more reason to believe the 23-year-old can keep up this hot streak. He’s hit four or more three-pointers in five-of-seven-games since the All-Star break, and has reached that mark in seven of his last 10 games overall dating back to February 7.

There’s a reason that the Hornets rank near the top of the NBA in both three-point attempts and made shots from beyond the arc. These long-range shots are a key part of the team’s identity with the fourth-most tries per game, and with the Celtics ranked 24th in both opponent 3PA and 3PM, that bodes well for the over on Miller’s prop line tonight at 3.5.

Nikola Vucevic over 7.5 rebounds (-115)

Nikola Vucevic came to Boston just before the trade deadline and debuted for the Celtics on February 6. He’s played a total of 10 games with the franchise now and has delivered some mixed results thus far off the bench, starting just one contest which Neemias Queta missed. He’s posting 11.8 points with 8.2 rebounds across 24.1 minutes a game, and while there have been some down nights in both the scoring and rebounding columns, he’s largely been quite solid.

Tonight’s rebounding line sits at 6.5 boards, so let’s look at the numbers. Vucevic has gone over that mark in six of his 10 total games as a Celtics, including three of his last four outings. His average of 8.2 boards is inflated slightly by four games with double-digit rebounds, but he did come close to notching seven boards in an additional matchup by coming up just shy with six. The Hornets are one of the league’s better teams on the glass with the fourth-most per contest, but that also means that Boston’s own big men may find themselves more engaged given the matchup.

For what it’s worth, Vucevic has produced nicely against Charlotte this season. Across three games against the Hornets, the center has recorded 24 total rebounds for an average of 8.0 per game. He pulled down seven boards in his most recent matchup against them on January 3 and had 14 rebounds against them on November 25. The exception came in December with just three rebounds in 22 minutes, but the success he’s seen against the team is enough to make me feel comfortable taking the over on 6.5 tonight.
