The 43-17 Spurs will be visiting the 33-27 Sixers tonight at 8 PM EST. The 76ers will be without Joel Embiid, Paul George, Kelly Oubre, and Marjon Beauchamp. The Spurs will be without Mason Plumlee but will otherwise be fully healthy.

The Spurs are 7.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook with the total for this game set at 223.5 points.

76ers vs. Spurs prediction, preview

The Spurs have looked like a strong contender all season long, and they do it consistently. They defend at a high level and have been effective on both sides of the ball, posting a 116.8 OFFRTG and 110.5 DEFRTG (8th and 3rd in the NBA, respectively). They’ve been even sharper in the last 10 games, posting 121.3 OFFRTG and 110 DEFRTG. Their defense continues to be expertly anchored by Victor Wembanyama, an absolute menace of a rim protector with his absurd reach and length. Wembanyama’s reach allows him to shrink the floor while giving his perimeter defenders opportunities to attack ball handlers aggressively knowing that they have a reset behind them. Stephon Castle specifically has looked excellent this season, improving on last season’s campaign in PPG, SPG, APG, RPG, FTA, and FG%. He’s also doing this while defending at an All-Defense level.

The 76ers are a bit of a mixed bag. They’re posting 115.9 OFFRTG and 115.5 DEFRTG (13th and 16th in the NBA, respectively) but have been a little shaky lately, with -5 NETRTG in their last 10. Joel Embiid’s resurgence into an MVP-level player has been impressive to watch, even if he’s lost a decent chunk of his ability to attack the glass. He looks apprehensive at times and may not have the confidence to move the way he used to. With Embiid and George out tonight, however, this becomes the Tyrese Maxey show. Maxey’s had an excellent season, leading the league in minutes at 38.5 while averaging 29.1 PPG and a league-high 2 SPG. Maxey will be responsible for a ton of shots and the creation of the Sixers’ offense tonight.

76ers vs. Spurs pick, best bet

Best Bet: SA Spurs -7.5

The Spurs have looked like a strong team all season and without Embiid in the mix, should be able to run over the 76ers with their dominance on both sides of the ball.
