Nebraska vs. UCLA College Basketball prediction, preview
Since traveling to Ann Arbor in late January, Nebraska has finally started to look human. The Huskers gave a valiant effort in the game, playing shorthanded and covering as big underdogs, but ultimately fell short to Michigan. Since that game, Nebraska is just 5-4 outright, and has only won as a pretty sizable favorite.
The wins in that span have come when laying 12.5 to Rutgers, 13.5 to Northwestern, 17.5 to Penn State, 16.5 to Maryland, and then 5.5 at USC in the first game of this west coast trip. The losses came in the Michigan game I mentioned, then when favored against Illinois and Purdue, and when catching +1.5 at Iowa. Basically, unless Nebraska has been a sizable favorite over the last five weeks, it has lost.
The Cornhuskers are now in their second game of a long west coast trip, coming off three cupcake wins in a row. Meanwhile, UCLA took a tough loss to Minnesota at The Barn on Saturday afternoon, which we successfully backed the home team if you follow my work. But the Bruins have been a completely different team on the road this season, specifically when leaving the west coast.
Now UCLA returns home looking to bounce back with a win at Pauley Pavilion, where the Bruins are 16-1 this season. The only loss UCLA has taken at home was to Indiana in a wild one that went to double overtime and came down to the final possession. Give me the Bruins to rebound off a loss at home and get a big win over a Nebraska team that’s returning to the pack.
