DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for 3/3/26

By: Bill Yin

Tonight will tip off at 7 PM EST between two heavy-hitters in the East, the Pistons and the Cavaliers. We’ll conclude our ten game slate at 11 PM EST with the Suns visiting the Kings.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Tyrese Maxey Less Than 30.5 Points

Maxey’s had a tremendous season and this might be the first time I’m predicting him to get Less than his predicted output. He’s been undeniably in-groove, averaging 31.9 PPG over his last five games. Tonight he’ll continue getting the Embiid-less usage that he’s accustomed to, but the Spurs are not your average opponent. San Antonio is third in defensive efficiency and 7th in opponent PPG at 112. The Spurs have multiple defensive options to throw at opposing teams, and All-Defense candidate Stephon Castle will bother Maxey all night long on the perimeter while filtering him into the prowl of Victor Wembanyama, who will be a top tier DPOY candidate for the next decade. If Maxey gets to 30.5 points tonight, it’s through sheer volume and free throws, and likely not efficient shot making.

Luka Doncic More Than 31.5 Points

Doncic continues to pace the league in PPG at 32.5, underscoring another monstrous individual season for the talented 26 year old. He’s been cold lately by his standards. He’s eclipsed 29 points just once in his last five, but tonight’s matchup will grant him free reign to do whatever he wishes. New Orleans has had one of the softest defenses in the league all season long, ranking 26th in DEFRTG and 27th in OPPG. As long as we can fade the blowout, Doncic should be in an excellent spot to stuff the stat sheet tonight.

Jalen Green More Than 17.5 Points

Green is only averaging 12.9 PPG this season on a dreadful 36% shooting from the field but he’s better than this. We’ve seen multiple productive seasons in Houston where Green has averaged north of 20 PPG, albeit with not much more efficiency. He’s getting his legs back under him after injury and if there’s one thing he can do well, it’s to score (sometimes). He most recently put up 26 points in 26 minutes against the Spurs, which is the league’s third highest rated defense. Green had to take 23 shots to do it, but I’m anticipating Green to have that kind of red light as well tonight.

Sacramento is the league’s third worst defense and 28th in OPPG (121.2). If Green gets any semblance of a workload, he should have no trouble cruising – or brute forcing – his way past 17.5 points tonight.
