Best NHL props for Tuesday 3/3/26
Josh Norris 1+ Point (+100)
Norris has notched a point in two of the past three outings since returning from the break. He is an underrated part of this Sabres team, and he has been productive in a limited fashion this season, totaling 20 points across 22 appearances. While he received somewhat of a demotion, going from the first line to the third line, Buffalo’s depth has been solid, and he’s played alongside Noah Ostlund and Josh Doan. Norris is coming off a two-goal game against the Lightning and should be able to take advantage of the Golden Knights’ leaky goaltending, which ranks 11th in 5v5 goals against per 60.
Steven Stamkos UNDER 2.5 Shots on Goal (-115)
Stamkos has cleared this line in just 22/60 games this season (37%). While the veteran ranks third on the Predators in both shots per 60 and shot attempts per 60, a good chunk has come while on the power play. When playing 5v5, Stamkos ranks eighth in 5v5 shots per 60 and seventh in 5v5 shot attempts per 60. The Blue Jackets rank fifth in shots allowed per game, which will likely gravitate most of the public towards the over on Stamkos. I’m expecting some struggle, given his lack of 5v5 production on top of Columbus logging the fifth-fewest penalty minutes in the NHL.
Cole Caufield Anytime Goalscorer (+135)
Caufield is tied for the second-most goals in the NHL, and he has scored at least one goal in both games since returning from the Olympic break. He also ranks third in 5v5 goals and draws a juicy matchup against one of the worst 5v5 teams in the league, the Sharks. San Jose ranks third in 5v5 goals against per 60, while Montreal ranks fifth in 5v5 goals per 60. Additionally, Caufield has scored a goal in each of his past four outings in which he had two days of rest.
