What happened to Zion Williamson? Live injury updates for Pelicans vs. Jazz on Saturday 2/28/26

In the second quarter of Saturday’s game vs. the Jazz, Zion Williamson was ruled out for the remainder of the game with a right ankle injury. There is no indication of how the injury occurred or the severity of it.

Before exiting, he played 11 minutes. He contributed four points, two assists and a rebound before being replaced by Saddiq Bey. Zion has been fairly injury free so far this season, featuring in 44 of 60 games so far this season before tonight. Hopefully this is nothing serious and he can be back out there in no time. New Orleans will be on the second leg of a back-to-back on Sunday.
