What happened to Andrew Wiggins? Live injury updates for Rockets vs. Heat on Saturday 2/28/26

UPDATE: Wiggins has returned to the game.

In the third quarter of Saturday’s game vs. the Rockets, Andrew Wiggins was elbowed in the face by Alperen Şengün. Wiggins went to the locker room, where he received stitches for a laceration in his mouth. According to the Heat, he is expected to return.

Before exiting, he played 22 minutes. He scored seven points and added five rebounds and an assist in that time. Wiggins was replaced by Jaime Jaquez Jr.
