UCLA vs. Minnesota College Basketball prediction, preview

UCLA is off a pair of huge wins over the last week, defeating a top-10 Illinois squad at the buzzer in overtime, and following it up with a blowout win in a rivalry game against USC. The Bruins are riding high right now, but have to head on the road to face a pesky Golden Gophers team that’s been strong at home.

Minnesota is off a hard fought battle against Michigan this week in which it lost by 10, but easily covered the 20-plus point spread. The Gophers are 11-4 at home this season, and have won outright as a home underdog against Michigan State, Iowa and Indiana (not to mention a loss at the buzzer to Wisconsin).

On the flip side, UCLA has been a completely different team at home versus on the road. The Bruins are just 2-6 ATS in true road games, with its only wins this calendar year over bad Penn State and Oregon teams. Minnesota just seems to have a knack for taking down good teams on its home court, and I think we see the Gophers get the job done again on Saturday afternoon.

CBB Pick: Minnesota +2 (-110)
