It has been a rough few months for Tiafoe, and his title drought is shocking for how great he was playing in 2023. However, he is the more experienced player and has been a part of more big matches in his career.
Tiafoe is also 2-0 in his career against Cobolli. The two faced off most recently in the 2025 Mubadala Citi DC Open Round of 16. Tiafoe won that match 6-1, 6-4 in dominant fashion. Tiafoe also dominated the prior meeting at the 2024 Delray Beach Open, 6-4, 6-2. Cobolli has never taken a set off Tiafoe in their two career meetings. Tiafoe knows how important this title would be to getting his career back on track. He has also been much more battle-tested with strong competition through this tournament. He should be the more prepared and experienced player in this match and secure his fourth career ATP title.
