That includes GG Jackson, someone that’s had moments of greatness scattered throughout his three-year NBA career. Now, with little competition for playing time, the forward is thriving. Over his last ten games, Jackson has accounted for 17.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
Even more impressive, the youngster has been efficient during that stretch as well. Since February 2nd, Jackson has shot 57% from the field and 49% from three-point range. The 21-year-old has hit two or more three-pointers in four of his last five appearances. Dallas has done a surprisingly good job at limiting damage from beyond the arc. However, it’s difficult to buy too much into those numbers with Flagg (foot) sidelined. Against a vulnerable Mavericks front court, Jackson should find some success stretching the floor tonight.

A throw-in during the shocking Anthony Davis trade, it’s been a lackluster season for Khris Middleton. The former All-Star is far removed from his prime. Through 40 games this season, he’s posted 11.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists. Still, a veteran three-point specialist can play a notable role in the modern NBA. That’s especially true for the Mavericks, who simply need warm bodies to log some minutes. Since joining Dallas earlier this month, Middleton is averaging 14.5 points on 50% shooting (38% 3PT).
Middleton has notched at least 14 points in three of his six appearances with Dallas. Now, he’ll get to take on one of the worst defensive units in all of basketball. Over their previous ten games, the Grizzlies have posted a 121.9 defensive rating, second-worst in the NBA. To boot, Memphis has surrendered 14.3 three-pointers made per game to its opponents, third-worst in the association. A savvy player such as Middleton should be able to pick his spots in this potential shootout.
