Nikola Jokic 25+ Points (-177): The odds of this prop make it feel like a parlay piece, which is fine, yet the popularity is somewhat surprising given the fact that Jokic and the Nuggets will be opposed by the Thunder on Friday. You know, the team that possesses the lowest defensive rating in the NBA by a considerable margin (106.4). Still, we’re talking about a former MVP here. Jokic is also directly on the heels of posting season-highs in field goal attempts (28) and usage rate (42.5%) against the Celtics in a blowout victory on Wednesday. Obviously the All-Star big man is most well known for his elite passing ability, but it’s not like he can’t score the rock, too. In fact, Jokic has exceeded 30 points in each of his last three starts and, for 2025-26 as a whole, he’s averaging 28.8 points per contest — the sixth-best mark in the league.
Jalen Brunson First Point Scorer (+415): We continue to see a surge in the first point scorer market on the DraftKings Sportsbook. Today’s prop of choice for the betting public? Jalen Brunson, who will lead the Knicks into Milwaukee on Friday night to face the Bucks. As we all know by now, first point scorer props are pretty random and nonsensical, yet I can see the general logic behind backing Brunson. Not only is the All-Star averaging 26.7 points per game in 2025-26 — tied with Lauri Markkanen for the ninth-best figure in the NBA — but Brunson is also in possession of a massive 30.1% usage rate in the first quarter. He’s aggressive early. That’s translated into scoring the first basket on 11 different occasions already this season, which happens to be the most of any player on tonight’s slate.
Karl-Anthony Towns 25+ Points (+320): It would be too simplistic to say that Towns struggled in the Knicks’ recent loss to the Cavaliers. Yes, the big man was held to just 14 points after having registered at least 20 in his prior five starts, but that was really more about New York as a team than Towns himself. I mean, he shot 100% from the field. What else can a guy do? It’s just that he shot 100% from the field on only five attempts — his lowest output this season in a contest where he also logged at least 24 minutes of action. The thought process here might be the classic “squeaky wheel gets the grease” scenario. KAT’s been outspoken about Mike Brown’s system all year long, and there’s a chance New York overcorrects Tuesday’s shot distribution flaws by giving Towns all he can eat versus Milwaukee. If that ends up being the case, these +320 odds look tantalizing.
