A modest five-game NBA slate is on tap for Friday. Still, even with just ten teams taking the floor, there are a few must-watch matchups. To start this evening off, the Cavaliers visit the Pistons for a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview. Later, the Thunder battle the Nuggets in a clash between title contenders.

Karl-Anthony Towns 11+ rebounds (-117)
Say what you will about his scoring this season, but Karl-Anthony Towns remains one of basketball’s elite centers. Through 55 games, the big man is averaging 20.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists. In addition, he’s recorded 48/37/86 shooting splits. Add it all up, and you have a double-double machine…when everything is going right. As any Knicks fan can tell you, KAT’s production has been inconsistent at best so far.
The most consistent facet of Towns’ game is his rebounding ability. That should come in handy tonight against a lackluster Bucks front court. Milwaukee has allowed 53.9 boards per game to opponents, 11th-worst in the NBA. To make matters worse, Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) remains sidelined. Towns has snagged at least 11 rebounds in nine of his previous 12 outings. Another dominant showing on the glass is to be expected at this point.
GG Jackson 2+ three-pointers made (-120)
The now-rebuilding Grizzlies have shuffled through a number of options on offense recently. One name that’s stuck is GG Jackson. That shouldn’t come as a major surprise. The third-year pro has had several flashes of greatness during his brief NBA career. Over Jackson’s previous ten outings, he’s accounted for 17.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 57% from the field. It helps that there’s limited internal competition on Memphis’ current roster.
Tonight, the Grizzlies will host an equally disappointing Dallas squad. Cooper Flagg (foot) is still out, leaving this team vulnerable on the wings. The Mavericks have been surprisingly good at limiting three-point shots this season. Regardless, a Memphis club with absolutely nothing to lose should have little hesitation firing away from deep. Jackson has drained two or more threes in four of his last five contests. Another busy evening from beyond the arc is more than likely.
Baylor Scheierman 8+ points (-105)
One of the biggest factors behind Boston’s phenomenal 2025-26 campaign is its depth. The Celtics wield a deep, dangerous roster, supported by several youngsters filling into new roles. Baylor Scheierman, an afterthought during the 2024 NBA Draft, has begun making an impact in this C’s rotation. During ten games in February, the forward has recorded 7.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
With that being said, the most important statistic for Scheierman is 24.5. That’s the number of minutes he’s averaging during that stretch. Logging around half of any game sets the Creighton alum up for some success. That’s especially true against a dismal Nets roster. Brooklyn possesses a 118.5 defensive rating, fifth-worst in the NBA. On the flip side, Scheierman has tallied at least eight points in five of his last eight appearances. In a game that could turn into a blowout, the 25-year-old should garner plenty of touches.
