Wolves vs. Aston Villa prediction, pick for Friday 2/27/26

Matchweek 28 of the Premier League begins on Friday as Aston Villa travel to take on Wolves in a game that sees third place take on 20th.

Villa are -110 favorites on the moneyline for this one on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a draw available at +275. Fancy a Wolves upset? They are +290 to pick up three points.

Wolves vs. Aston Villa Prediction, Pick

After failing to win three of their last four Premier League games, it looks like Aston Villa’s title challenge has come to an end. Instead, they now find themselves looking over their shoulders in the race for the top five positions and a spot in next season’s Champions League. The Villans are only three points ahead of fourth-placed Man United, and six points in front of Chelsea and Liverpool in fifth and sixth.

The good news for them is that this week, they have a great chance to extend their lead on the chasing pack as they play on Friday against the bottom side in the league. Wolves still only have one win this season, and it’s just a matter of time before they are mathematically relegated.

Aston Villa won the reverse fixture in November and have come out victorious in three of the last four meetings between the sides. The Villans have been one of the best road teams in the Premier League so far this season, and that should come in handy on Friday. They have 22 points in 13 away games and are tied with Chelsea for the second-most away points behind league leaders Arsenal. Meanwhile, no home team has collected fewer home points than Wolves, who have salvaged six out of a possible 42 points at Molineux Stadium.

Even though teams like Arsenal and Newcastle have slipped up against Wolves in recent weeks, I fancy the Villans to get back in the win column after a recent dip in form.

The Pick: Aston Villa Moneyline (-110)
