For the first leg of the Florida swing, the PGA TOUR is hosting the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches at the Champion Course of PGA National (par 71, 7,223 yards, Bermuda greens) in Palm Beach Gardens. This has been the home of the Cognizant Classic since 2007 and Joe Highsmith (-19) is the defending champion of this event. There will be 121 players competing this week and a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.
Below, I have featured two of my favorite long shot outright bets to win the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Doug Ghim (+7200)
After finishing T16th at the 2024 Cognizant Classic, Ghim on upped himself at this event in 2025, finishing T11th, including an 8-under 63 in the second round. Ghim has shot under par in six of his last eight rounds at PGA National and he looks ready to thrive at the course again this week. Ghim has made eight of his last nine cuts and he has finished inside the top-30 three times during this stretch, most notably with a T7 at the RSM Classic.
Ghim ranks 14th in total strokes gained when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds, and him contending for his first PGA TOUR in this weak field is in the realm of possibilities.
Lee Hodges (+10500)
Hodges is less than three years removed from his breakthrough win at the 2023 3M Open and while he is coming off two straight missed cuts, Hodges finished T4th and T6th in his previous two starts before this. The 30-year-old has produced five top-10 finishes over the last two seasons and he ranks ninth in SGP this season, which bodes well for PGA National, as each of the last four winners here have finished the week top-15 in SGP.
Hodges has played well at PGA National in the past, finishing T9th, T14th and MC in his three starts at the venue, and he is worth adding to your betting card at this long number.
