Six games between 12 different teams make up Wednesday’s NBA slate. To kick things off, Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs head north for a date with the Raptors. Elsewhere, the Thunder and Pistons clash in a potential Finals preview. To cap things off, the Celtics and Nuggets meet in a battle between title contenders.
Which names can bettors trust this evening? Here are my three favorite NBA prop bet picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s contests.
Top NBA prop bet picks
Victor Wembanyama 39+ points + rebounds + assists (-108)
At this point, few players compare to Victor Wembanyama’s all-around statistical prowess. The Frenchman, despite some injury scares, has put together another phenomenal campaign. Over 43 games, he’s accounted for 24.2 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists. From the field, he’s shooting 51% (36% 3PT). Add it all up, and you have a true triple-threat. That’s without factoring in the All-Star’s superb defense, as well.
Wemby’s Spurs come into this one on a heater, having won nine straight. They’ll look to keep the momentum going on the road tonight vs. Toronto. The Raptors are a good defensive unit, but this isn’t an ideal matchup. They could be without starting center Jakob Poeltl, listed as questionable with a back injury. In his place, Collin Murray-Boyles has gotten extra usage at center. However, the rookie is somewhat undersized at 6’7″. That’s not exactly ideal when going up against a 7’4″ superstar. Wembanyama has tallied at least 39 points + rebounds + assists in five of his last seven appearances. Another stat-stuffing performance is likelier than not on Wednesday.
Gui Santos 15+ points (-112)
The Warriors have been forced to get creative on offense with Steph Curry (knee) sidelined. In the guard’s absence, some other names off the bench have gotten a chance to shine. That includes Gui Santos, a relatively unheard of sharpshooter from Brazil. During his previous ten games, the third-year pro has recorded 15.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting nearly 60% from the field. In addition, the forward is knocking down 46.5% of his three-point attempts.
At this point, it’s safe to say Santos is carving out a larger role in Golden State’s rotation. After all, the 23-year-old logged a season-high 39 minutes last night vs. the Pelicans. On the second leg of a back-to-back, he should continue to see a heavy workload. Wednesday’s opponents, the Grizzlies, are one of the NBA’s easiest groups to score on. Memphis is giving up the ninth-most points (117.8) and fifth-most three-pointers made (14.2) per game. Santos has notched at least 15 points in six of his last seven appearances; expect that trend to continue this evening.
James Harden over 12.5 assists + rebounds (-128)
James Harden’s tenure in Cleveland has gotten off to a fantastic start. The guard has blended in seamlessly with this offense, serving as a solid number two behind Donovan Mitchell. As always, The Beard remains one of the NBA’s premier statistical compilers. Through 51 games this season, the former MVP has accounted for 24.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 8.1 assists. On this top-heavy Cavaliers offense, the veteran has a clear path towards 30+ minutes a night.
Harden should be busy once again vs. a Bucks squad missing Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf). Even with the Greek Freak healthy, this unit has looked extremely vulnerable on defense. Milwaukee has surrendered the 11th-most assists (27.2) and 11th-most rebounds (53.9) per game this season. Harden has secured at least 13 A+R in 29 of his 51 contests so far. The future Hall of Famer is more than capable of reaching this total on assists alone. Another standout performance from Cleveland’s newest acquisition wouldn’t come as a surprise tonight.
UPDATE: Harden (thumb) is listed as questionable to play tonight.
