Ayo Dosunmu over 12.5 points (-110)
Perhaps one of the NBA’s more underrated guards, Ayo Dosunmu has looked great this season. Across 45 games for the Bulls, the fifth-year veteran averaged 15.0 points and 3.6 assists while shooting 51.4% from the field and a staggering 45.1% from beyond the arc. His play was so good, in fact, that it earned him a trade to the contending Timberwolves. He’s coming off the bench through his first five games in Minnesota, but Dosunmu is actually getting a slightly heavier dose of minutes than he was in Chicago while posting 12.2 points and 3.0 dimes. He’s still hitting his shots at a high level and looks like he’ll work in a key role for his new(ish) team, so there’s a lot to like about the guard here.
Tonight is a perfect opportunity for him to pop off. The Trail Blazers are 23rd in opponent scoring with 118.2 PPG allowed and 20th in DEFRTG, so this defense has largely struggled to shut anyone down this season. Beyond that, Portland won’t have its two leading scorers, so the blowout potential is arguably about as high as possible. Given those facts and that the Wolves’ offense is already one of the best in the NBA, the situation means Dosunmu could see additional work if the starters hit the bench early. He’s scored more than 12.5 points just once in five chances as a member of the T-Wolves, but the guard should see plenty of run in the context of this environment and has exceeded this line in 30/50 total games this season.
Donovan Clingan over 12.5 points (-106)
One of the NBA’s up-and-coming youngsters, Donovan Clingan has largely been on a tear ever since 2026 began. His averages since New Year’s Day of 13.3 points and 12.8 rebounds per game are both up from his season-long numbers, and he’s posted some unbelievable nights over this span. There have been numerous times he’s flirted with 20-point, 20-board outings and has largely worked a little bit more as a scorer both before and after the All-Star break. Yet, he still averages just 28.9 minutes since January 1 as his minutes are capped most of the time. If he got a full workload, there’s little doubt he could impress even more.
Clingan’s points line still comes in at 12.5 for tonight’s game, likely as a result of a tough matchup against Rudy Gobert, Julius Randle and Naz Reid in the Timberwolves’ frontcourt. However, I’m not too worried about the young big man’s chances of exceeding that listing. He’s scored at least 13 points in seven of his last eight contests and both outings since the season resumed. Beyond that, the absence of Avdija and Sharpe means there are plenty of additional shots to go around tonight, so a bump in volume could make sense for Clingan here at home. Plus, Minnesota is an average matchup in terms of points allowed in the paint, ranking 14th in the stat and giving up the 10th-most PPG to opposing centers.
