With nine minutes left in the second quarter of Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets, Vince Williams Jr. was replaced by Cody Williams. Williams Jr. was running back on defense during a transition opportunity for Houston when his legs got tangled up with a Rockets defender, causing his left knee to buckle.

Williams Jr. has already been ruled out for the rest of the game.

Prior to exiting, Williams Jr. contributed one point, three rebounds, an assist and a steal in eight minutes of action off the bench.

Svi Mykhailiuk and John Konchar will likely see an uptick in playing time with Williams Jr. out.

Since the injury occurred before halftime and Williams Jr. will not be returning, he will be eligible for DraftKings Early Exit.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
