What happened to Luke Kornet? Live injury updates for Spurs vs. Pistons on Monday 2/23/26

UPDATE: Kornet has returned to the game.

With 3:51 left in the first quarter of Monday’s game against the Detroit Pistons, Luke Kornet was replaced by Julian Champagnie. Kornet suffered a leg bruise and is questionable to return.

Prior to exiting, Kornet contributed one steal in one minute of action.

Kornet has been the primary backup for Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs went small with Keldon Johnson at center with both Wembanyama and Kornet out. With the size that Detroit possesses, I’d imagine that Kelly Olynyk and/or Bismack Biyombo see playing time if Kornet is unable to return.

If Kornet does not return, he would be eligible for DraftKings Early Exit since the injury occurred in the first half.
