Unrivaled has a two-game slate featured on Monday night as the regular season winds down. Every game means so much more for playoff positioning with six of the eight clubs making the postseason.
The 3-9 Lunar Owls are in last place and face the 4-8 Vinyl in a major matchup for both clubs.
The Vinyl are 3.5-point favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, while the Lunar Owls are +140 on the moneyline. The game total is set at 139.5 points.
Let’s dive into a preview, prediction and pick for tonight’s Lunar Owls vs. Vinyl matchup.
Lunar Owls vs. Vinyl prediction, preview
The Lunar Owls desperately need a victory after losing three of their last four games. It’s put them in last place in the league with just two games remaining. The playoffs expanded to six teams, but they’re still falling short.
Part of this has to do with Napheesa Collier’s injury. She hasn’t played at all this season as she recovers for the 2026 WNBA campaign. It’s left Marina Mabrey and Aaliyah Edwards as the top players on the roster. They’ve performed well, but it hasn’t been enough.
The role players have been underwhelming. Skylar Diggins is averaging 16.2 points, 4.2 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game on 36.9% from the field and 22.5% from distance on 4.4 attempts per game. The rest of the roster is playing no more than 10.5 minutes per game each, so the impact is minimal.
The Vinyl are in sixth place, so they’re trying to hold onto their playoff spot right now. The team is well balanced with Dearica Hamby, Rhyne Howard and Rae Burrell all averaging double-digit points. Erica Wheeler and Brittney Griner each play notable roles, too.
Despite a solid roster, the team has lost three straight entering this matchup. This run could be what costs them a playoff bid as teams such as the Lunar Owls hope to sneak into the postseason.
Lunar Owls vs. Vinyl pick, best bet
Both teams are fighting for a win as playoff spots aren’t locked in quite yet. That said, neither side hasn’t shown much quality play in recent games. The Vinyl lost by 21 to the Breeze on Saturday, while the Lunar Owls lost by 19 to the Mist later than night.
Because the Lunar Owls are without Collier, I’m siding with the Vinyl to win and make a push for the postseason.
