NBA Best Bets: Spurs vs. Pistons Best Prop Bets for Monday 2/23/26

After a frenetic return to play over the weekend after the All-Star break, the NBA catches its breath with three games on Monday night. The marquee matchup tips off at 7:00 p.m. ET, featuring the San Antonio Spurs rolling into the Motor City to face the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena. If you’re searching for a side dish of some prop bets to go with your pizza for this party, let’s break down both sides of the matchup and find some Spurs and Pistons player prop bets that make sense to add to your betting card.

The Pistons are slight 1.5-point home favorites with the point total at 232.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. It’s a slightly above-average point total compared to the NBA average, so the odds indicate it will be a competitive game with plenty of points, which is something to keep in mind when looking at player props.

Both teams are in the thick of the playoff race and have been playing very well lately. The Spurs are second in the West at 40-16 and have won eight straight games, while the Pistons are 42-13 for the top spot in the East and have won five straight and eight of their last nine. This will be the first meeting between these teams this season, with the rematch on March 5 in San Antonio.

Let’s take a look at some of the top player prop bets from both the Spurs and the Pistons in this Monday night matchup. These picks can be used as standalone plays or combined in a Same Game Parlay (SGP), as indicated at the bottom of the post.

Spurs vs. Pistons Best Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Cade Cunningham o15.5 Rebounds + Assists (-116)

Cunningham has averaged exactly 15.5 rebounds plus assists this season, but if this game is close and he plays his full minutes, he should be able to work past this prop line in these peripheral numbers.

He has at least 16 rebounds plus assists in four straight games and six of his last eight. He has been especially active on the boards in his two games after the All-Star break, grabbing eight rebounds against the Knicks and nine rebounds against the Bulls. Cade also had 13 assists in each of those games, producing 21 and 22 rebounds plus assists to go well over this prop line.

The Spurs have been a mid-range matchup for point guards, but since the game should be close and Cunningham should play heavy minutes, I like his chances to produce over this prop line.

Stephon Castle o14.5 Points (-122)

Castle has had a strong second season for the Spurs and shown the ability to step up in big games like this one. He helped the team to the NBA Cup Championship and has averaged 16.6 points per game overall on the season.

The guard was dealing with a few injuries before the All-Star break, but he has looked good in his two games after the break, both big wins for the Spurs. He only needed 21 minutes against the Suns on Thursday to lead the team with 20 points and had 18 points in 24 minutes against the Kings on Saturday.

While he isn’t in as huge of a role as he was while Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox were dealing with injuries, he has still been able to go over this scoring prop in six of his last nine games and 10 of his last 16.

If the game is close throughout, Castle should get a little extra playing time and be able to score 15+ points fairly comfortably.

Ausar Thompson o17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-116)

Thompson is averaging 18.9 PRA (points, rebounds and assists) on the season and has gone over this prop line five times in his last eight games, including posting 19 PRA in each of his two games since the All-Star break.

As a versatile, defensively focused wing, Thompson will fit well into this matchup and will likely play heavy minutes. I prefer taking his PRA over either his points, rebounds or assists separately since he can adjust his game to fit the game flow. For example, he had eight assists to go with eight points and three rebounds in 32 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday, but he only had three assists while turning in 13 points and nine rebounds to go over this prop earlier this month against the Wizards.

Thompson played over 30 minutes in each of the team’s two games since the All-Star break and went over this prop. Before the break, he had only played 30 minutes in one of his previous 15 games. With more minutes and opportunities, he should regularly be able to get past this PRA line.

Bonus Parlay Pick: Dylan Harper O6.5 Rebounds + Assists (-111)

If you’re building an SGP (Same Game Parlay) from this Sunday matchup, adding in another over on Harper’s rebounds and assists boosts the odds to a strong +950 for these four Spurs-Pistons bets.

Harper has at least seven rebounds plus assists in seven of his last eight games and 11 of his last 14. The rookie has become a key contributor in the second unit and usually turns in good rebound and assist production while logging 20+ minutes per game.
