DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for 2/23/26

By: Bill Yin

We only have three games on the slate tonight, tipping off at 7 PM. The Spurs will visit the Pistons in what will surely be a must-watch clash of two top-shelf teams and high level defenses. It’s going to be ugly and grindy.

The Kings will visit the Grizzlies at 8 PM EST and the Jazz will visit the Rockets at 9:30 PM EST.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Kevin Durant More Than 25.5 Points

Durant’s overall scoring average this season is sitting in the right neighborhood of tonight’s 25.5 mark, but this one is more about Utah’s ability (or lack thereof) to create resistance. The Jazz are giving up 125.9 opponent PPG, dead last in the league, and they’re sitting 28th in opponent FG% (48.8%).

Tonight, this Jazz team will be devoid of rim protection. Walker Kessler is out for the season, Jaren Jackson Jr. is out for the season, Jusuf Nurkic is out, and Lauri Markkanen is dealing with an illness. For someone as talented as Kevin Durant it, it’s just going to be laughably easy for him to waltz into his spots and put up an efficient scoring night without much trouble.

De’Aaron Fox Less Than 6.5 Assists

Fox averages 6.6 APG at home but only 6.1 APG while on the road, and tonight’s a tough road matchup indeed. The Spurs will be visiting the top seed in the East, the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons are one of the few defenses that consistently prevent high assist numbers. They hold the number two defense this season with a 110.2 DEFRTG and allow just 23.1 APG, the lowest mark in the league.

Furthermore, Fox is not the primary ball handler on his team. Stephon Castle has been the one who handles bringing the ball up the court, and Fox will operate as the secondary playmaker or find his dimes in bail-out situations. Against a defense of this caliber, I’m not optimistic on Fox’s assist upside tonight.

Alperen Sengun More Than 35.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Sengun’s season production is already around this figure. He’s averaging 20.4 PPG, 9.1 RPG, and 6.3 APG (35.8 PRA). Tonight he’ll get an opportunity to bump up those numbers, since the Jazz rank dead last in opponent APG and RPG. They’re conceding the 22nd most points in the NBA, as well.

Sengun has been an offensive hub this season and is putting up his highest APG to date. With Utah missing Kessler, Jackson Jr., Nurkic, and likely Markkanen, they’ll have little to deal with Sengun’s interior presence.
