UPDATE: On Monday, the field for the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches changed significantly. Ben Griffin, Jacob Bridgeman, Adam Scott and Patrick Rodgers are out of the tournament, while Lanto Griffin, Jackson Suber, Brandt Snedeker, Harry Higgs, Frankie Capan III, Carson Young and Chan Kim have joined the field. Updated odds are listed below. Shane Lowry is the new betting favorite for the week, with Rasmus Hogjaard, Ryan Gerard, Nicolai Hojgaard and Michael Thorbjornsen rounding ou the top five.
The PGA TOUR wrapped up the West Coast swing with a pair of Signature Events over the last two weeks, and now the focus shifts to the Sunshine State for the next four weeks. The first event in Florida this season is the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, which is held in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at the famous PGA National – Champion Course.
The event was known as The Honda Classic until 2024, when the title sponsor changed and the name became the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches. In the first year with the new name, Austin Eckroat defeated Min Woo Lee and Erik van Rooyen by three strokes, and last year, Joe Highsmith emerged with a win by two strokes over Jacob Bridgeman and J.J. Spaun, who have each gone on to do big things since their runner-up finish.
Unlike the limited fields at the Signature Events for the last two weeks, the Cognizant is a full-field event with a field of 144 players competing over four rounds (72 holes) on PGA National. The cut will reduce the field to the top 65 players and ties after the first two rounds.
