The only loss came in bizarre circumstances where they blew a late lead against Manchester City. Dominik Szoboszlai is playing like one of the best midfielders in the world, Mo Salah is starting to look like his old self, and new signings like Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez are finally playing at the level many expected prior to the season.

Nottingham Forest are in total disarray. Last season, they were the surprise team of the Premier League, finishing in seventh place. However, after selling some players and sacking manager Nuno Espirito Santo after a slow start to the season, things have gone dramatically downhill for Forest. After firing Nuno, Forest have tried two other managers, Sean Dyche and Ange Postecoglou. Dyche was just fired, and Forest have since hired Vitor Pereira to be the new manager. The Forest ownership group is famed for its instability and rash decision-making. Even for that group, this has been a wild season. Pereira is the fourth permanent manager at the helm for Nottingham Forest this season, a single-season Premier League record. Pereira will have the tough job of keeping them in the Premier League, as they currently sit just three points off the relegation zone.

My best bet for this match is on the Liverpool moneyline. Despite Liverpool’s inconsistencies, this is a very talented team playing the best it has all season. Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest is in total disarray. They managed a comfortable win in the Europa League in Vitor Pereira’s first match in charge. However, this will be a much tougher challenge for Pereira and Forest. Nottingham Forest got the better of Liverpool at Anfield in the first meeting this season. That was one of the low points on Liverpool’s previously mentioned historically bad run. This new version of Liverpool, that is clicking well, should be out for revenge in this spot — and get it.
