The Phoenix Suns have announced that Devin Booker will miss at least the next week with a right hip strain. Booker left Thursday’s matchup with the Spurs with the hip injury and will be reevaluated after the time away.
Haywood Highsmith joins him on the injury report and will also be re-evaluated in two-to-three weeks due to a knee injury.
The Suns sit in seventh place in the Western Conference with a 32-24 record on the season. After pulling the plug on the superstar experience from last season, Phoenix has largely exceeded expectations with Booker remaining the foundation of the franchise. Across his 44 games played, the five-time All-Star is averaging 24.7 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per contest.
Phoenix currently holds -800 odds of making the playoffs on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Suns also hold +8000 odds of winning the Western Conference and +25000 odds of winning the NBA Championship.
