UPDATE: Jamal Murray (hamstring) is available to play for the Nuggets against the Trail Blazers tonight.
The Denver Nuggets play the second leg of a back-to-back on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers. While this may not be the most challenging of matchups, they may find themselves without their star point guard on the road.
Nuggets guard Jamal Murray has been listed as questionable for tonight’s matchup on the official injury report. He’s dealing with right hamstring tightness.
Murray, a favorite hooper of anyone who loves electric guards, has put forth the best campaign of his career so far. The 28-year-old averages 25.6 points and 7.6 assists per game, shooting a career-best 48.2% overall. He’s also nearly matching his career-high mark from beyond the arc at 42.4% this season, doing so on the highest volume of three-pointers he’s ever taken. The leap he’s taken earned Murray the first All-Star nod of his 10 years in the NBA.
The Nuggets are 35-21 as the campaign enters the home stretch. They currently sit fourth in the Western Conference standings.
For tonight’s matchup against the Trail Blazers, Denver is listed as a slim 1.5-point road favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook.
