Two undefeated Lightweight prospects, Abel Mejia and Jaybrio Pe Benito, will face off in the first bout of tonight’s Zuffa Boxing 03 Main Card. Mejia enters this contest 10-0 with seven knockouts, while Pe Benito is 6-0 with four knockouts. This event begins with the Prelims at 6:00 p.m. ET and concludes with the Main Card at 9:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Abel Mejia by KO/TKO/DQ (+200)

Mejia began his professional boxing career 31 months ago and, at 22, has looked like a high-level prospect. In 2025, Mejia went 4-0 and finished the year with two knockouts, both coming in the second round. Mejia’s last win came against Jason Buenaobra in November 2025. Pe Benito fought once in 2025, winning a unanimous decision over Sebastian Gutierrez.

Pe Benito has a one-inch reach advantage (68″ vs. 67″), but Mejia is the taller fighter (5’8″ vs. 5’6″). Even though Mejia is seven years younger, he enters this bout as the more experienced fighter. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Abel Mejia is the favorite at -800 while Jaybrio Pe Benito is a +500 underdog. This contest is -220 to go the distance on the judges’ scorecards and +160 not to go the distance.

Mejia is taller and should be able to use that to dictate the pace of this contest. He has won five of his previous seven fights by knockout. If he enters this fight with the same aggressiveness as in his last two bouts, another finish is likely. Mejia is +200 to win this contest by KO/TKO/DQ.
