The NBA Slam Dunk Contest doesn’t feature the A-list stars it once did, but that doesn’t mean the event won’t be just as exciting as years past. These young players have the opportunity to make a name for themselves on a major stage, and for their dunks to live on highlight reels forever.
No matter what your favorite dunk contest moment is, each year creates new memories. The 2026 Slam Dunk Contest will feature Jaxson Hayes, Carter Bryant, Keshad Johnson and Jase Richardson. All four are first-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest participants.

7:47 p.m.: Johnson is the 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion. He was +450 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
7:45 p.m.: Well, that was anticlimactic. Bryant failed to convert his dunks, forcing himself to put a basic 360 on the board. That earned him a 43.
7:42 p.m.: Johnson cradles in a windmill dunk for his final dunk of the night. Of course, he finished his routine with a nice dance. The dunk earned him a 47.8.
7:39 p.m.: OK that’s a good start to the finals. Bryant lobs himself a between-the-legs dunk for a 50. First 50 of the night!
7:38 p.m.: Johnson continues his dancing ways before and after his first Final Round dunk. He went between the legs under the rim for a 49.6.
7:31 p.m.: Johnson cradles in a reverse two hander for a 45.4. He moves onto the final round with Bryant.
7:28 p.m.: Bryant places a perfect lob for himself to do a windmill dunk. That’s a 49.2.
7:26 p.m.: After failing to convert his original dunk, Richardson pulled off a 360 two-handed slam. He picked up a 43.4.
7:23 p.m.: Hayes kicks off the second round with a between-the-legs dunk off a self lob. He redeemed himself with a 47.2.
7:17 p.m.: Johnson leads all participants with 47.4 after the first round.
7:15 p.m.: Hayes is the last player to take flight. He threw down a tomahawk jam for 44.6.
7:13 p.m.: The first missed dunk of the evening is from Johnson. The Miami Heat sophomore jumped over E-40, who is roughly 6-foot-2. This earned a 47.4.
7:09 p.m.: Richardson, the other rookie, also made his first dunk attempt. He lobbed the ball to himself for a reverse two-hand windmill dunk. That earned him a 45.4.
7:07 p.m.: Bryant is one and done. He made his first attempt, completing the 360 windmill slam for a 45.6.
7:06 p.m.: Hayes, Bryant, Johnson and Richardson take the floor for the 2026 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
6:39 p.m.: The Knicks won the Shooting Stars competition after Damian Lillard won the 3-Point Contest. The NBA Slam Dunk Contest is up next.
