Wednesday afternoon, the WWE announced on social media that Brock Lesnar will appear on Monday Night Raw in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 23. This is massive news as one of WWE’s biggest stars will be on the final episode of Raw before the Elimination Chamber on February 28.
Potential opponents for WrestleMania 42
For WrestleMania 42, there are two opponents that make the most sense for Lesnar. That is Oba Femi, who Lesnar eliminated in the Royal Rumble, and Gunther, who has adopted the moniker “Career Killer’.
Oba Femi
Although Lesnar and Femi had an intriguing face-to-face in the Rumble, the two were interutped and never had a real chance to fight each other. After the Rumble, Femi has made appearances on Raw and SmackDown, dominating the War Raiders and Kit Wilson. A showdown between former champion Lesnar and one of WWE’s rising stars, Femi, makes sense.
Gunther
The second option for Lesnar at WrestleMania would be Gunther. He has already retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, and adding another legend to his resume would be fitting. Although I do believe there is a chance this match happens, it would be surprising if Lesnar’s run was cut short, since he returned less than a year ago.
