With 4:00 left in the third quarter of Wednesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns, Jalen Williams was replaced by Isaiah Joe. Williams is now in the locker room after suffering a hamstring injury during a fast break.
Prior to exiting, Williams contributed 28 points, five assists, and four rebounds in just 20 minutes of action.
Wednesday marked Williams’ second game back after missing 11 games with a hamstring injury. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also out, Jared McCain and Aaron Wiggins would likely be the biggest beneficiaries from a production standpoint. Cason Wallace would see more offensive responsibility, and Isaiah Joe would likely see an uptick in minutes.
Since the injury occurred after halftime, Williams would not be eligibile for DraftKings Early Exit.
