Half an hour after that, two playoff hopefuls in the Eastern Conference battle as the Detroit Pistons head northward to face the Toronto Raptors. These sides are yet to meet this season, but this should be a good one between two rosters with plenty of talent and legitimate chances to make a run in the postseason.

Scottie Barnes over 8.5 rebounds (-137)
The value here won’t exactly have bettors sweating this pick to the extreme, but the outlook is quite good for Raptors rebounds tonight. After a pretty major scuffle in their last game against the Hornets, the Pistons have now lost big men Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart for multiple games apiece due to suspensions from the commish’s office. That leaves Detroit without its All-Star center and one of its other top big men, paving the way for Paul Reed to start at the five tonight.
It’s not an ideal situation for the Pistons, but it’s great for Toronto. Jakob Poeltl is questionable due to reconditioning after he returns from an extended injury-related absence, but even if he plays, Scottie Barnes could still bring in plenty of boards. The star forward averages a career-best 8.4 rebounds per game this season and has now pulled in at least nine boards in six of his last 10 games. With a 6-foot-8 frame, he sees even less of a height discrepancy against the 6-foot-9 Reed. Barnes is active on the glass on a nightly basis and has recorded at least seven rebounds in all but one of his last 10 outings as well, so watch for him to make an impact in this regard as usual tonight with an excellent matchup. The Pistons simply won’t have their usual level of physicality without their big men.
Daniss Jenkins 10+ points (+133)
He’s not a household name, but Daniss Jenkins is quietly a productive player for the Pistons. The second-year guard plays 16.9 MPG, averaging 8.1 points and 3.2 assists. His FG% of 42.8% isn’t great, but he is shooting 38.4% from three and has shown some upside when given the opportunity. Jenkins just posted an 18-point outing two games ago in only 18 minutes, and he had another 18-point game back on February 1 as well.
Now, we’re not going to project him to have that kind out outing again tonight, but double-digit points are within reach. He’s hit that mark in five of his last 10 games and eight of his last 15 as well. The young role player also sees the benefit of the matchup against Toronto, which allows the fourth-most points to opposing point guards. Is there some flop risk? Sure, but the plus value here does feel right and even if this becomes a blowout for the Raptors, Jenkins could see some additional run.
