Only four games between eight teams make up Tuesday’s select NBA slate. Still, there are several reasons for hoops fans to tune in. That’s especially true for bettors with a few wagers on tonight’s action. Contenders such as the Knicks, Spurs and Rockets are all taking the floor this evening. Superstars such as LeBron James, Cooper Flagg and Kawhi Leonard are expected to suit up, as well.

Karl-Anthony Towns 13+ rebounds (-134)
Unlike last season, Karl-Anthony Towns has had trouble finding his shot. Regardless, he’s still someone opposing frontcourts need to game plan for. That’s especially true on the glass, where the seven-footer remains a force to be reckoned with. Through 49 games, KAT is hauling in 11.7 rebounds per game, in addition to 19.7 points and 2.9 assists. The big man leads the entire NBA with 35 double-doubles, as well. That level of production, combined with a consistent role, gives Towns a fairly safe floor for production.
In most spots, KAT is well-positioned for double-digit boards. Tonight, fellow center Mitchell Robinson (ankle) will sit out. That leaves Towns as New York’s only rotation big going up against the Pacers. Indiana struggles to box out, giving up the most rebounds per game (56.6) to opponents. Towns has snagged at least 13 boards during three of his last four appearances in this matchup. A similar showing should be expected on Tuesday night from the six-time All-Star.
Devin Booker 25+ points (-110)
The Suns are very much alive in the Western Conference at 31-22. What’s made that record even more remarkable is that it hasn’t even been Devin Booker’s best season. To be clear, the guard remains an elite offensive weapon. Over 42 games, he’s recorded 25.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists. However, middling shooting has have been a notch below what we’ve come to expect from the veteran. Booker is only knocking down 31% of his three-point attempts, currently the worst mark of his 11-year pro career.
Tuesday presents Booker with an opportunity to exploit one of the NBA’s worst defensive units. The Mavericks are allowing 117.2 points per game, the 11th-highest mark in basketball. Keep in mind, a good chunk of those contests came with Anthony Davis active. Booker, despite middling outside shooting, has tallied 25+ points in half of his outings this season. That includes his most recent game vs. Dallas in November (26 points); expect a repeat performance tonight.
Stephon Castle 7+ assists (-130)
Victor Wembanyama is the headliner in San Antonio, but don’t sleep on Stephon Castle. The reigning Rookie of the Year has thrived in his role as lead distributor for the Spurs. This season, the guard is putting up 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game while shooting 47% from the field. Granted, that level of offense can fluctuate on any given night. Playing alongside Wemby and De’Aaron Fox, the youngster’s scoring often takes a backseat.
Fortunately for Castle, his contributions extend far beyond getting buckets. It helps to play alongside an elite San Antonio offense, as well. The UConn alum has dished out at least seven assists in 23 of his 42 contests this season. That bodes well going into this evening’s game with the Lakers. Los Angeles has surrendered 27.5 assists per game to opponents, seventh-most in the NBA. There’s no reason to think he can’t surpass this modest total on Tuesday.
