Matchweek 26 of the Premier League has arrived as Newcastle travels to take on Tottenham in a game that sees 12th place take on 15th.

Newcastle are slight +135 favorites on the moneyline for this one on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a draw available at +250. Fancy a Tottenham win? Spurs are +195 to pick up three points.

Tottenham vs. Newcastle Prediction, Pick

If you told me at the beginning of the season that a match between Tottenham and Newcastle in February would be between the 12th and 15th teams in the table, I would have been shocked. But here we are. Both of these teams are currently in the Champions League, which clearly has not helped their league form. Both clubs are also in horrendous form at the moment, so let’s dive into the matchup and see if we can find an angle to attack these odds.

Let’s start with the home side. Tottenham are winless in seven straight Premier League games. Over that span, they have drawn four times and lost three. Spurs fans are beginning to look over their shoulders and realize that they are only six points ahead of the relegation places.

Then, we have Newcastle. The Magpies are doing slightly better, sitting four points ahead of their opposition. They have also been struggling in the league recently, however, as they are winless in four straight games. They have lost three of those and drawn one against bottom-of-the-table Wolves. No bueno.

There is not much reason to be optimistic with either side going into this one. I am going to give Newcastle the slight edge, however, based on their recent track record against Tottenham. The Magpies have won three of the last four games against Spurs in all competitions, drawing once. They beat Tottenham 2-0 in the Carabao Cup earlier this season, and drew with them 2-2 in the league game last December.

I don’t have a ton of confidence in Newcastle, but I also do not think they will lose this game and they are slight favorites for a reason.

The Pick: Newcastle Tie No Bet (-145)
