Monday’s college basketball slate is headlined by a Big 12 matchup between the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats and No. 11 Kansas Jayhawks. Kansas is 9-5 against Arizona in their all-time series, but the Wildcats won the last matchup between the two in March 2025. Arizona’s last victory against Kansas in Lawrence was in January 2003. The Wildcats are 10-0 in the Big 12 while Kansas is 8-2 in conference play.

Arizona vs. Kansas (9:00 p.m. ET)
Arizona is 23-0 and is coming off a massive 37-point victory against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Wildcays have an incredibly versatile team with an elite offense and defense. Brayden Burries, Koa Peat, Jaden Bradley, and Motiejus Krivas are Arizona’s four players averaging double-digit points. This season, Arizona has had only two games decided by two or fewer possessions and hasn’t won by fewer than seven points since November 19.
Kansas is led by Darryn Peterson, who averages 20.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per contest. Although Peterson has been excellent when he’s been on the floor, he has only appeared in 13 of 23 games. But Peterson is currently healthy as he has played in the Jayhawks’ last three contests. Kansas enters this contest riding a seven-game winning streak. Tre White and Melvin Council Jr. join Peterson in the backcourt as well. White and Flory Bidunga both average 14.6 points per contest.
Kansas is 13th overall on KenPom, having the seventh-highest rated defensive rating but the 43rd-highest offensive rating. Arizona is No. 2 overall, with the best defensive rating and the fifth-best offensive rating.
Both teams have elite defenses, but the difference in this matchup is on offense. That is because Arizona averages 89.3 points (first in the Big 12), while Kansas averages 77.8 (third-lowest in the Big 12). Arizona is 6-0 this season against top-25 teams, with all six victories coming by four or more points.
