In Week 5 of the regular season, Rashid Shaheed had an 87-yard touchdown reception with 45 of those yards after the catch.

Per Next Gen Stats, Shaheed clocked a top speed of 21.72 mph.

Only eight other players ran faster. Jonathan Taylor reached a top speed of 22.38 mph in Week 2 to claim the throne. Jahmyr Gibbs went over 22 mph three times. Brian Thomas Jr., TreVeyon Henderson, Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson, Charlie Jones and Kyle Williams round out the list.

Shaheed played eight games with both New Orleans and Seattle, finishing with 59 receptions and nine rushing attempts. On 20 of those plays, he posted a top speed over 19.5 mph. That equates to hitting the over of 19.5 mph 29% of the time.

All it takes is one play for Shaheed, and if he hits that one opportunity, there’s a chance. Kind of like having four cards to the flush on the flop. But those deep passes are low-probability plays and the volume likely won’t be there. Since joining Seattle, Shaheed has received three or fewer targets in eight of 11 games.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
