The second quarter of Super Bowl LX came to a close, and we’re halfway to crowning a new champion and have a pair of Super Bowl Squares winners. After the Patriots 0:3 Seahawks claimed the win after the first quarter, the Patriots 0:9 Seahawks hit at the end of the second quarter. That square had +1400 odds to hit at the end of any quarter, as you can see in the grid below.
The Seahawks got a few big runs early in the second quarter by Kenneth Walker and kicked a 39-yard field goal to take a 6-0 lead.
The Seahawks defense stood strong and forced another Patriots punt, and the Seahawks had another solid drive before another punt pinned the Patriots at the two-yard line. New England’s offense picked up a critical first down, but still gave the Seahawks the ball near midfield.
At the two-minute warning, the Seahawks were in Patriots’ territory, and after picking up a first down, they opted to play things conservatively and settle for another field goal attempt. Jason Myers drilled his third field goal attempt of the day, pushing the lead to 9-0, where it stands at halftime.
