Super Bowl LX is upon us, as the Seahawks and Patriots clash under the bright lights in Santa Clara. Kenneth Walker III will need to play a big part in the game if Seattle wants to come out victorious, as the Patriots are elite against the run. Getting in the end zone would certainly be a big part of that, but can he do it?
Walker has scored four touchdowns in two playoff games this postseason for Seattle, and I will certainly be backing him to get in the end zone once again on Sunday. A big part of his recent success has been the absence of Zach Charbonnet. During the Divisional Round game against San Francisco, Charbonnet tore his ACL. It’s a blow for Seattle, but it allows Walker III to be the focal point in the backfield instead of splitting reps with Charbonnet. Despite missing a lot of the San Francisco game and all of the NFC Championship, Charbonnet still has five more red zone carries than Walker III this season. This is Walker’s backfield now, and because of that, I fancy him to score in the Super Bowl.
At -195 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, Walker III has the lowest odds of any player to score a touchdown on Sunday. He had five touchdowns in 17 regular-season games, but has nearly doubled his tally in the playoffs with four scores in two games. Kenneth Walker III has stepped up to the plate in the absence of Zach Charbonnet, and I’m very confident he will find paydirt at least once in the Super Bowl. I would not be shocked if he scored multiple times, and his +265 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook to do just that show that it’s not far-fetched.
