The Seahawks and Patriots will face off in Super Bowl 60 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 8. These franchises faced off in Super Bowl 49 during the 2014 NFL season—New England won that matchup with the infamous Malcolm Butler interception.
Seattle is a 4.5-point favorite and -238 on the moneyline, while New England is +195 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 45.5 points.
Here are my top Sam Darnold prop bets for the Seahawks vs. Patriots Super Bowl matchup on Sunday, Feb. 8.
Best Sam Darnold Prop Bets
Although most fans would like an offensive-centric Super Bowl, that’s unlikely to happen with these teams. The Seahawks and Patriots boast two of the best defenses in the NFL, and both starting quarterbacks allow their defenses to dictate the pace of the game.
Sam Darnold had another excellent regular season, proving last year wasn’t a fluke. He completed 67.7% of his passes and totaled 4,048 passing yards. His main problem was turnovers as he was third in the NFL with 14 interceptions. That hasn’t been an issue in the playoffs, however.
That should remain the same in the Super Bowl despite New England featuring a stellar defense. The Seahawks will likely limit how much Darnold throws the ball, even with Zach Charbonnet sidelined with an injury. This should be a slow-paced game with emphasis on the defenses and rushers.
Even if Darnold does throw the ball a lot, he’s been efficient in the playoffs. He completed 25 of 36 passes for 346 yards and three touchdowns against the Rams in the NFC Championship. Betting against an interception is the play, even with his struggles during the regular season.
