The winter Olympics are upon us. As we speak, thousands of athletes are making their way to Milan to compete in another incredible edition of the Winter Games. All eyes will be on the final table to see which country takes home the most gold medals. Is this the year where Team Canada gets back on top?
Here’s a look at the odds on the DraftKings Sportsbook for which country finishes with the most gold medals.

Team Canada comes in fourth in the odds going into these Olympics. They last won the most total gold medals in 2010, as the host nation, when they set the record (at the time) of 14 gold medals by a single country in a single Winter Olympics. Since then, things haven’t been as sweet. Canada finished with 10 golds in 2014, trailing Norway by only one for the top spot. They dropped to third in 2018, then plummeted all the way down to 11th in 2022. This is their chance to get back on track.
The Canadians have a few events to count on. They’re favored in men’s and women’s ice hockey, four individual speed skating events, women’s curling, men’s snowboard cross, and three individual freestyle skiing events. But, even if they clean up as favorites, they need some luck in other events to get over the finish line.
Canada is bringing an awfully strong Olympic team to play in Milan. Can they go home with the top spot?
