What happened to Daniel Gafford? Live injury updates for Celtics vs. Mavericks on 2/3/26

UPDATE: Gafford has returned to the game.

In the second quarter of Tuesday’s game against the Celtics, Daniel Gafford limped off the court. Gafford has been dealing with ankle problems all season, and it looks to have flared up once again.

Before exiting, he played 13 minutes. He scored four points and added five rebounds before being replaced by Naji Marshall. If Gafford does not return, the Mavericks have a day off on Wednesday before hosting the Spurs on Thursday. Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious and he can return to face San Antonio.
