NBA Best Bets: Knicks vs. Lakers Prop Bets for Sunday 2/1/26

The Knicks are hosting the Lakers on Sunday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, New York is favored by 4.5 points, and this game carries a total of O/U 228.5 points.

Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Sunday’s matchup between the Knicks and the Lakers.

Best Knicks vs. Lakers Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

LeBron James U 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-148)

James is averaging only 1.5 made three-pointers per game this season while shooting 33% from beyond the arc, and he has only hit multiple treys twice in his last eight starts. Next, James faces the Knicks on their home floor, who have been elite defensively as of late. Ever since New York held a players-only meeting a few weeks ago, the team has won five straight, and it has held four of its five opponents during this time to less than 100 points.

The Knicks rank first in defensive rating, and they are limiting their opponents to the second-lowest three-point percentage in the NBA during this win streak (26.8%), and James should is likely to stay under 1.5 made three-pointers in this tough, road matchup. On the road this season, James’ three-point percentage dips to just 31%.

OG Anunoby O 2.5 Assists (+123)

Anunoby has been outstanding recently, and he has dished out five and three assists in his last two. A common trend with these games is that Miles McBride (ankle) was inactive for both contests, and the guard will remain out Sunday.

With McBride out for the past two, Anunoby is averaging 6.0 potential assists per game, which is well above his 4.3 average for the season. With a Lakers’ defense that ranks 25th in rating this season on the other side, Anunoby absolutely could finish with 3+ assists, and he is a great bet for this over at this +123 price.

Karl-Anthony Towns U 18.5 Points (-108)

While the Knicks have won five in a row, Towns has been less of a factor on offense during this win streak, averaging just 12.6 PPG. The big man hasn’t exceeded 18.5 points once in these last five, and his usage has been at 21.5% during this span, which is a big drop from his 25.1% average for the season.

Mitchell Robinson has also been playing well and eating into Towns’ minutes, and the Lakers’ defense he is facing is giving up the sixth-fewest points to center this season. All signs point to Towns having another quiet performance as a scorer, and he should fall short of this high 18.5-point line.
