Matchweek 24 of the Premier League has arrived as Man City travel to take on Tottenham in arguably the biggest game of the weekend.
Man City are -150 favorites on the moneyline for this one on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a draw available at +330. Fancy a Tottenham upset? Spurs are +360 to pick up three points.
Tottenham vs. Man City Prediction, Pick
For this bet to hit, we need Tottenham to win the game. If it ends in a draw, the bet will void. This is a really difficult game to preview. On one hand, Man City are second in the table, playing a team in the bottom half. On the other hand, this is Tottenham vs. Man City. Crazy things always happen in this fixture.
Spurs have been quite the bogey team to Man City in recent years, and I’m backing that to continue on Sunday. In the last 11 games in all competitions between these teams going back to 2021, Tottenham have won six, drawn one and lost four. Man City have historically been the much better team over that time period, but when it comes to playing Tottenham, they always seem to struggle.
City are the overwhelming favorites to win for obvious reasons. They have been much, much better than their opposition in the Premier League this season. However, Tottenham have still shown flashes of brilliance. Spurs beat the Citizens 2-0 earlier in the season, and actually finished higher than Man City in the UEFA Champions League table. Are they inconsistent domestically? Sure, but on their day, they can beat almost any team in the world.
Man City also enters this game in bad form for their standards. In their last five Premier League games, they have only won once, a 2-0 home win over bottom-of-the-table Wolves last weekend. Before that, they lost to Man United and drew three times in a row against Sunderland, Chelsea and Brighton. Spurs are in terrible form domestically themselves, but perhaps a 2-0 away win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday in the Champions League can get things going in the right direction in the Premier League.
I like Tottenham to get some sort of result on Sunday in a fixture they historically turn up for.
