At today’s UFC 325 event, there are three Road to UFC Championship fights taking place on the Early Prelims. The first Road to UFC final on this card is between Sulangrangbo vs. Lawrence Lui. Lui is on a good fight-winning streak, while Sulangrangbo has won nine straight and hasn’t lost since February 2023. The winner of this contest earns a UFC contract.

Here is my best bet for Sulangrangbo vs. Lawrence Luion on the Early Prelims at UFC 325.

Over 2.5 Rounds (+124)

The first member of the City Kickboxing team competing on this card is Lui, who has a 7-1 record, including four knockouts. Eugene Bareman is the head coach of City Kickboxing and has created one of the best MMA gyms in the sport in New Zealand. Bareman has guided Israel Adesanya, Alexander Volkanovski, Dan Hooker, and Carlos Ulberg, among others, to UFC success.

Lui beat Van Y Nghiem via second-round knockout to earn a spot in the Road to UFC Championship. His opponent, Sulangrangbo, is 10-3 with seven finishes and beat Sim Kai Xiong in the semifinals. In this fight, Lui is nine years older than Sulangrangbo and has a six-inch reach advantage (72″ vs. 66″).

The 20-year-old prospect is the favorite at -285 while Lui is a +230 underdog in this contest on DraftKings Sportsbook. My favorite play in this contest is taking it to go over 2.5 rounds at +124. That is because three of Lui’s previous five fights have gone past the second round. Also, Sulangrangbo has entered the third round in five of his previous six contests. With two talented strikers, it could lead to a slow start as both fighters feel each other out.
