The NHL schedule had just one game on it last night, but fans are blessed with a staggering 14 games to choose from on Saturday. The slate gets going in the early afternoon and continues throughout the day, but for the sake of time, we’ll focus on some of the later outings at 7 p.m. EST and later. We’ve gone 4/4 over our last two days of this article… who’s ready to make some picks?

Best NHL prop bets for Saturday 1/31/26
William Nylander 1+ assist (+110)
There are two reasons to feel good about taking William Nylander to record at least one assist tonight (and I considered taking him to record multiple points at even higher value as well). First of all, the Maple Leafs are clearly a better team when the star is on the ice. He’s notched 48 points (17G/31A) across just 37 appearances this season and does have a positive +/-, though the latter isn’t saying much given that it’s a measly +1. Still, he’s playing excellent hockey even despite some injury struggles and had notably racked up seven points in four games prior to the injury which has kept him out since January 15. He moves the puck well and would actually be on pace to beat his career-best assists total were health not an issue this season.
Moreover, Toronto has a very easy matchup tonight and should take advantage. The Leafs get to play a hapless Canucks squad that’s gone 2-11-2 in January while allowing 59 goals in 15 games, good for an average of 3.93 GA/GM. That tends to happen when you trade away a generational blueliner! Regardless, Vancouver can’t defend a traffic cone at the moment and faces what’s in theory a very talented lineup. Assuming he plays a decent share of ice time, Nylander should tally at least one assist against this soft opponent.
Quinn Hughes 2+ points (+150)
Minnesota Wild star Quinn Hughes enters Saturday with the league’s second-longest point streak, notching 11 in total across seven consecutive contests. The former Norris Trophy winner has 10 assists and a goal across that span while spending a ridiculous amount of time on the ice. His prowess as a puck mover has been on display while playing alongside star teammates like Kirill Kaprizov, and this roster is largely healthy now after missing a couple of key forwards like Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek for a few games each this month. That bodes quite well for the offense as a whole, especially with Hughes up to 27 points in 23 games with the Wild.
The matchup here is excellent for Minnesota. Tonight’s game against the Oilers shapes up as probably the most exciting on this slate, marking a potential playoff preview for a loaded Western Conference. There’s a ton of star power available and the over on 6.5 goals is favored tonight as these contenders battle it out. Tristan Jarry is likely to start in net for Edmonton, and the goalie has been a bit leaky with four or more goals allowed in three of his last six games. This is a potentially high-scoring affair, so Hughes should be heavily involved.
