Just six games make up Saturday’s slate of NBA action. That’s not exactly an abundance of hoops, but it’s nothing to sneeze at either. Superstar players and postseason-bound teams alike are all slated to take the court.
Which names are set to surpass, or fall short, of their totals tonight? Here are my three favorite NBA prop bet picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Saturday’s contests.

VJ Edgecombe 5+ rebounds (-130)
For all the missteps from Philadelphia’s front office in recent years, they knocked it out of the park last summer. Third overall pick VJ Edgecombe has been the perfect fit for head coach Nick Nurse. The two-way wing is a true all-around threat, capable of contributing in a number of different categories. Through 43 games, the 20-year-old is averaging 15.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Still, as a secondary option behind Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid, Edgecombe’s offensive output can fluctuate.
On Saturday, the do-it-all rookie has a golden opportunity on the glass. New Orleans is giving up 55.5 rebounds per game, fifth-most in the NBA. In comparison, Edgecombe has snagged five or more boards in six of his last seven outings. In fact, he’s reached this total in 28 of his 43 appearances this season. Even if this game becomes a blowout, Nurse might let the youngster stay on the floor longer than Philly’s veterans. Even if he struggles to find his shot, Edgecombe should make an impact as a rebounder tonight.
Bam Adebayo 22+ points (-118)
Miami, despite a perpetual chain of injuries, remains on track for a postseason berth. That’s the case once again on Saturday; Tyler Herro (ribs), and Norman Powell (personal) have both been ruled out. Fellow starter Davion Mitchell (shoulder) is questionable. Still, the Heat have a solid shot at victory tonight, thanks in large part to Bam Adebayo. Through 41 games, the center is putting up 18.0 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He’s delivered decent, albeit not great, 45/36/80 shooting splits.
In spite of a difficult start to the season, Adebayo remains a force to be reckoned with. Over the past few weeks, he’s looked the part of a three-time All-Star on offense. The big man has tallied at least 20 points in nine of his last ten contests. Saturday’s opponent, the Bulls, struggle to defend opposing centers. Chicago has given up 53.1 points in the paint per game, fifth-most in basketball. In addition, centers Nikola Vucevic (rest) and Jalen Smith (calf) are both questionable to suit up. That would leave third-stringer Lachlan Olbrich with an increased role down low. An experienced pro such as Bam should take full advantage this evening.
Kevin Durant 32+ points + rebounds (-125)
Much like Miami, the Rockets remain a force in spite of some brutal injuries. Steven Adams’ season-ending injury is the latest setback for Houston. Fortunately, this squad remains loaded, especially in the frontcourt. Through 44 games, the future Hall-of-Famer has accounted for 26.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Alongside fellow All-Star Alperen Sengun, KD has led the NBA’s fifth-highest unit in terms of offensive rating (119.0).
In a league filled with underperforming clubs, the Mavericks truly stand out. This roster, especially without Anthony Davis (hand), has looked lackluster on both ends of the floor. A notable weakness is on the glass; Dallas has surrendered the third-most rebounds per game to opponents (56.0). To boot, Durant has tallied at least 32 points + rebounds in four of his last five outings. During the previous two meetings between these two teams, KD has notched at least 27 points. Don’t be shocked if the superstar makes light work of this total tonight.
