DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for 1/29/26

Updated:

By: Bill Yin

There will be eight games on the slate tonight, tipping off at 7 PM with the Kings visiting the 76ers, and concluding with the Thunder visiting the Timberwolves at 9:30 PM EST.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Kevin Durant More than 25.5 Points

Durant is sitting at 26.4 PPG this season, and the matchup favors him due to Atlanta’s poor defense against 2-pointers, which is Durant’s bread and butter. Atlanta is allowing opponents to shoot 56.3% on two-pointers, the sixth highest mark in the league, which is basically an open invitation for a scorer who lives in the midrange and excels at the elbows. They’re also giving up 118.4 opponent PPG.

It’s tough to say that his scoring prowess has waned as he has aged. We know that he’s still a walking 30-piece, but perhaps he’s not as aggressive nowadays in terms of hunting for his shot as he used to be, but his numbers are in the neighborhood of his career-highs, anyway. If the Hawks keep being soft in 2-point territory, Durant should have no issue clearing this number tonight against a soft defense.

Rudy Gobert More Than 11.5 Rebounds

The Wolves will host OKC tonight, and luckily for Gobert, rebounding is just about the only thing that OKC is not great at. Gobert is at 11.2 RPG on the season, but his rebounding has fluctuated wildly in recent games, grabbing as many as 17 and as few as five. It just takes one ugly minute outcome to sink his rebounds, but the matchup data suggests a strong rebounding night for Rudy.

Centers are averaging 13.9 RPG against OKC this season. By all accounts, I’m expecting Gobert to feast on the glass tonight and hit his rebounding ceiling fairly comfortably.

Michael Porter Jr. More Than 25.5 Points

Porter will return to Denver for the first time since he was traded to Brooklyn, and he’s blossomed into his own. He’s taken that leap into All-Star type of production – although he won’t make it due to the Nets’ putrid record – and is averaging 25.5 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 3.2 APG while keeping his percentages intact. That’s sure to quiet the dissenters who assumed that Porter’s elite efficiency was a byproduct of Jokic’s otherworldly playmaking. Porter is proving that he’s just a lethal off-ball threat who can hunt for his shots independent of a playmaker. In short, he’s simply a bucket getter, and he’ll get a nice matchup tonight against the Nuggets who boast the league’s tenth worst defense.

Denver’s defense hasn’t been a lockdown unit this season. They’re allowing 116.0 opponent PPG and own a 117.6 defensive rating. We’ll all be ready to see Porter show his former team what they’re missing out on.
