Best NHL props for Wednesday 1/28/26
Owen Tippett 3+ Shots on Goal (-115)
Tippett has cleared this line in 11 of his past 15 outings. While the 26-year-old has been more of a cash cow at home this season, his matchup tonight is as good as it gets. The Blue Jackets rank second in the NHL in shots allowed per game (30.7) and fifth in shots allowed per game to opposing right wingers (5.8). Tippett logs second-line minutes and ranks 28th in the NHL in shots on goal per 60 (9.5) and 30th in shot attempts per 60 (18.8) among skaters with at least 175 minutes of ice time.
Artturi Lehkonen 1+ Point (-120)
Colorado’s second line, comprised of Lehkonen, Brock Nelson and Valeri Nichushkin, has produced a 70.3% xGoals% and a 63.6% Goal% across 25 games together this season. Lehkonen has notched a point in four of his past five outings and draws another good matchup tonight against the Senators. 37-year-old James Reimer will likely start between the pipes for Ottawa, and he has allowed four goals in three of his four starts this season. Reimer sports a 3.32 GAA and .870 SV%, and a team like the Avalanche will take advantage. Among skaters with at least 175 minutes of ice time, Lehkonen ranks 32nd in 5v5 points per 60.
