We head to Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California, for the Farmers Insurance Open. Torrey Pines has hosted every Farmers Insurance Open since 1968 and Harris English (-8) won this event by one shot last season. This week, each player of this 145-man field will play a round on the South Course (par 72, 7,765 yards, POA greens) and the North Course (par 72, 7,258 yards, bentgrass greens) of Torrey Pines, and then, there will be a top-65 and ties cut, with those players who advance playing their final two rounds at the South Course. The South Course also hosted the 2021 U.S. Open won by Jon Rahm and last year’s Genesis Invitational won by Ludvig Aberg.
Below, I dive into three of my favorite DFS options on DraftKings for the Farmers Insurance Open.

Xander Schauffele ($10,500)
Schauffele being priced under $11,000 for this week is surprising and building around him is wise for all formats. Schauffele is a California native that was born in La Jolla and went to San Diego State University. The 32-year-old always gears up for competing at Torrey Pines, as Schauffele has finished inside the top-15 in three of his last four starts at the Farmers Insurance Open, one of which was a runner-up in 2021. Plus, Schauffele finished T-7 at the 2021 U.S. Open played at the South Course of Torrey Pines. The South Course hosts three of the four rounds of the Farmers Insurance Open and Schauffele is a perfect fit for this par 72.
Each of the last four Farmers Insurance Open winners have finished the event top-seven in SG APP and Schauffele ranked 12th on the PGA TOUR in the metric last season. The South Course also features POA greens and when we compare this field’s last 50 rounds at courses with this type of putting surface, Schauffele ranks second in strokes gained per round. The two-time major champion is on the heels of a win at the Baycurrent Classic in November and Schauffele should contend for his second straight win this weekend.
Jake Knapp ($8,200)
Knapp is another California native that needs to be rostered this week. The UCLA product finished T-3 at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open and Knapp finished T-17 at the 2025 Genesis Invitational played at the South Course.
Knapp returns to Torrey Pines fresh off a T-11 at the Sony Open two weeks ago. The smooth ball-striker has made seven of his past eight cuts and three of these finishes have been top-12 results. Knapp ranks first in SG OTT when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds and he is a strong bet for a top-25 finish this week.
S.H. Kim ($7,000)
Kim has made 2-of-3 cuts at the Farmers Insurance Open – including a T-20 in 2023 – and the 27-year-old is playing great golf right now. After losing his PGA TOUR card in 2024, Kim competed on the Korn Ferry Tour last season and after producing five top-10 finishes and a win on the circuit, Kim regained his PGA TOUR status for the 2026 season. To start this campaign, he has finished T-13 at the Sony Open and T-18 at the American Express the last two weeks.
To begin both of these events, Kim impressively carded a 63 in the first round, which is his career-low on the PGA TOUR. Kim’s putting has been stellar, with him ranking 11th in SGP when we compare this field’s last 24 rounds, and Kim’s strong work on the greens should translate into a solid finish at Torrey Pines this week. English ranked second in SGP when he won last year’s Farmers Insurance Open and each of the five winners of this event have finished the week top-12 in SGP.
