The Golden State Warriors downed the Minnesota Timberwolves yesterday despite entering with an undermanned lineup, and they have the chance to gain more ground with tonight’s outing. The Wolves have lost five straight games and are spiraling, but can they snap this cold streak on Monday?

Few players across the NBA are as effective shooters on such high volume as Anthony Edwards. The T-Wolves’ young superstar takes an average of 8.5 three-point attempts per game, the eighth-most of any player around the league. Even on that volume, he knocks down those shots at a 41.0% rate, the best three-point percentage of any player taking at least eight shots from beyond the arc. It’s a testament to his ability as a perimeter creator, not to mention a key finding for tonight’s betting card.
Edwards is matching his typical numbers from deep right now, connecting on four or more three-pointers in three of his four games since a brief injury-related absence. He also hit at least four threes in four of his six games prior to that two-game rest, bringing his total to seven contests with at least four makes from downtown over his 10 appearances this month. Tonight, he takes on a Warriors squad allowing the eighth-most attempts and made shots from three-point range. There are few defensive talents in the NBA who can match up well with Edwards, and Golden State has even fewer beyond Draymond Green, who is questionable tonight with back soreness.

The Timberwolves are struggling as of late, but that’s not stopping me from taking another one of their players for tonight’s prop bet markets. Rudy Gobert is an unsung hero of this roster, even with some of his shortcomings and a less-than-stellar reputation on NBA Twitter/X. He averages 10.8 points while leading the league with a 71.5% FG% and 71.8% 2P%, marking incredibly efficient scoring as he plays his role nicely. He doesn’t try to do too much on offense beyond hit put-backs and lobs, and he pulls down 11.2 rebounds with 1.7 blocks per game as well. It’s tough to deny that he’s a productive starting center, even if you don’t care for him.
With that in mind, I’m targeting a double-double for the big man tonight. Gobert has notched 20 such stat lines this season across 44 games, bringing his hit rate on this prop close to a 50/50 toss-up. The matchup tonight also puts the Minnesota frontcourt in a solid position to go to work against a Golden State unit lacking in standout contributors. Quinten Post likely starts at center as usual (with one of the NBA’s most fitting names for a big man), while leading rebounder Jonathan Kuminga (knee) and Al Horford (toe) are both out. Can Gobert play within his role to tally another 10-and-10 game? Absolutely, especially against a shorthanded unit.
