Derrick White U 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (+128)
White has had major issues shooting the ball from deep this month. In his 12 starts in January, White is shooting 25% from beyond the arc and he is only averaging 2.1 made three-pointers per game. White has failed to knock down three or more three-pointers in eight of these 12 games, and this matchup vs. the Trail Blazers doesn’t bode well for outside shooters.
In January, Portland ranks ninth in defensive rating and it is holding its opponents to the lowest three-point percentage in the NBA (31.9%). White just faced the Trail Blazers last month and he shot 2-of-10 on three-pointers that night. White should have another quiet performance from deep Monday and he is a stellar bet for this under at these +128 odds.
Jaylen Brown O 6.5 Rebounds (-137)
On top of his elite scoring, Brown has been very active on the glass, averaging 8.3 rebounds per game in his last 10 starts. Brown has grabbed at least seven rebounds in all but one of these past 10 and he is averaging 14.0 rebound chances per game during this stretch, which ranks second only to Celtics’ starting center Neemias Queta.
Brown grabbed seven rebounds when he faced the Trail Blazers last month and he should finish with at least seven rebounds again tonight.
Jrue Holiday O 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-161)
While Holiday is shooting a mediocre 36% from beyond the arc this season, he hasn’t been shy from deep, averaging 2.4 made three-pointers on 6.6 attempts per game. Holiday just returned from a lengthy absence due to a calf injury and in his first six games back, the guard has exceeded 1.5 made three-pointers four times.
Tonight will be Holiday’s first game back in Boston since the Celtics traded him to Portland this offseason and Boston is a friendly matchup for outside shooters, as it is allowing the third-most made three-pointers per game this season (14.4). The Celtics prioritize protecting the paint over the perimeter and Holiday is a terrific bet to knock down multiple treys in his return to Boston tonight.
