With less than a minute left in Friday’s game against the Denver Nuggets, Giannis Antetokounmpo crashed the glass for a defensive rebound. After a teammate secured the ball, Antetokounmpo turned to run back on offense but injured his leg in the process.

Shortly after the conclusion of the game, it was announced that Antetokounmpo suffered a strained right calf and is expected to miss four to six weeks.

Bobby Portis will likely enter the starting lineup, but the biggest beneficiary will probably be Ryan Rollins, who flourished with a usage rate in the 35% range earlier in the season when Antetokounmpo was out. Kevin Porter Jr. is also out indefinitely.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
